"January 27, 2009"
1. They used a wide aperture in this photograph, the blurryness from the boy and how in focus the background is.
2. The shutter speed they used is in between a fast and slow shutter speed. I can tell because it is not in motion anymore.
3. This lighting creates that tradgic mood, if shot under bad lighting it would not turn out good because its already a bit dark under all this shadow, so this lighting is just right.
4. No because, the subject is thrown everywhere in this picture, making it so you can't divide much of it up.

1. This used a wide aperture, the little girl who is in focus tells me it is because everything surrounding her is not in focus.
2. The shutter speed they must of used was probably slow, because there is no action in this photo, or any type of fast movements.
3. This lighting creates a lost mood or a depressing mood, if shot under bad lighting it wouldnt look as good, besides it wouldn't capture the little girls attention as much.
4. I think it can be a rules of third because the subject is right in the middle.

1. This picture used a wide aperture, because the president and everything in the background is in focus.
2. This was shot at a slow shutter speed.
3. The lighting to this photo helps a lot, if it was in bad lighting or dark, then it would not have all thes effects, like the shadows of the trees.
4. I would say yes, because the subject can be divided into.

"APERTURE""RULES OF THIRDS"

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

Final Exam

???
1.Leading Lines

XSI Display Top
1. Tv is used when setting your own shutter speed and its used for capturing motion. Av is used to set your own aperture size and this is used for getting your subject in focus and the things around it out of focus.
2.SLR

XSI Display
1.Shutter Speed
2.Aperture Speed
3.White Balance

Rule Of Thirds
1. Sent to your email.
2. Rule of thirds is just basically dividing your pictures into thirds or more.

Shutter Speed
1. In the first photograph, they used a fast shutter speed to catch the surfer up in the air.
2. In the second photo, they probably used a tripod, using a slow shutter speed to get this much light into the hole. This shutter speed would be a high number.

Aperture
1. The first photograph is using a wide aperture, because everything seems to be in focus. This would most likely be F3.5.
2. The second photo is using a narrow aperture size. I noticed, because the only thing in focus is her foot, and to get only certain things into focus you would use a narrow aperture size making it most likely F22.
3. I would use a wide aperture size, 3.5, because to be able to get everyone in focus you would have to have a wider aperture, so the more things you want in focus the wider aperture size you will have to use.
4. Depth of Field is to be used when trying to get your subject in the middle in focus and only that in focus.

Greenscreen (ipod)

Thursday, January 15, 2009

I choose this picture because its really interesting to look at, i thought this was one of the best ones taken.
This picture to me used textures, because of all those rocks.
This photograph tells a lot, there can be many different stories to it. It looks like he suffered a huge earthquake and is buried under all these rocks and dust.

This photo is really cool, yet violent too. It also looks like it was taken from a movie.
I think this uses lines, it has the road leading on.
This picture to me tells a violent story, kind of like those fighting movies. It also looks like it can be a movie.

This picture caught my attention, because i like how they took it while the subject was in action. There were many other interesting photos too, but i liked this one best.
I think this picture used line and texture, because if you look at the walls and around there looks like there are many different types of textures.
This photo shows the love he has for this sport, and how active you'd have to be to play it.

Third Element step 1- opened my greenscreen picture
step 2- opened a new project, changed the color
step 3- used the color range to select the background only
step 4- then selected myself only and made it a solid color
step 5- drawed out my ipod and my rainbow
step 6- then typed my text
Adding a third element to my picture changed a lot, i became solid and i was able to create something new and different from my boring greenscreen photo. It also thought you more about how you can do little things to your picture and it'll look somewhat like a shadow. You can also make your picture colorful.
